Welcome to Hide Photos, a service provided by Just Simple Style. We recognize the profound importance of your privacy and the sensitive nature of the content you entrust to our application. This Privacy Policy is designed to inform you about the types of information we may collect and how we handle your data.

2. Data Collection and Usage

2.1 Personal Data

Hide Photos is designed as a local-first vault. We do not collect, upload, or store your personal photos, videos, or files on our own servers. All content you import into the vault remains strictly on your device.

2.2 Account Information

If you choose to use the Cloud Sync feature via Google Drive, your Google Account information is only used to establish a secure connection with your own Google Drive storage. We do not store your Google credentials or access any data in your account outside of the specific folder created by the app.

3. Permissions Required

To provide its core functionality, Hide Photos may request the following permissions:

• Storage / Media Access: We use the Android Storage Access Framework (SAF) to securely import and restore media. This ensures we only access files you explicitly choose.
• Network Access: Required for the optional Google Drive Cloud Sync feature and crash reporting via Firebase.

4. Third-Party Services

We integrate specific third-party SDKs to improve application performance:

• Google Play Services: Used for the Google Drive API to facilitate secure cloud backups.
• Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous technical data (e.g., device model, OS version, stack traces) to help us fix application crashes and improve stability. No user-identifiable media or PIN information is ever collected.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Since we do not store your data on our servers, you have complete control over it:

• Local Data: You can delete any individual file or clear the entire vault from within the application settings.
• Cloud Data: You can manage and delete your backup data directly from your personal Google Drive account at any time.
• App Uninstallation: Uninstalling the app will remove all local files stored within the app’s private directory.
